Welcome rain at last over a fair patch of the sheep country. Not that it will last all that long and the impact on worms is likely to be minimal. Anywhere with "paddy melon" country where any water may lie (unlikely), monitoring may be useful in 6–12 weeks, particularly if we get lucky and have a bit more rain.
I continue to be encouraged by the increasing number of Queensland sheep producers who are doing effective quarantine drenching of all sheep including rams and stragglers returned from neighbours. Effective quarantine drenching should include four actives including Zolvix. The reported first case of Zolvix resistance from a goat herd in northern NSW really highlights the need.
