Where to begin? Western pastoral districts are severely drought stricken with long view weather forecasts predicting a strong possibility of an El Nino developing. So, worms are unlikely to cause problems. The only exception will be in bore drain country (remember bore drains?) where producers flood water to create some green pick. Though it’s not common, I have seen some dreadful Barbers Pole crashes in these situations.
Further east where there have been some occasional storms, a WEC from time to time will pick up any emerging worm population rises.
