Western Australia worm update - May 2012

Nicole Swan, Swan’s Veterinary Services, Esperance (nicole@swansvet.com):

Esperance has been having balmy autumn weather with the odd rain event. Temperatures have for the most part been 10-23°C.

This has been perfect Barber’s Pole weather. Recent counts have for the majority been low; however there have been some counts that indicate that Barber’s Pole is a likely problem. These have been for the most part in younger sheep (green tags) or pregnant ewes on the more coastal farms.
